Covid-19 : la BAD lève 3 milliards de dollars pour freiner la propagation en Afrique

Abidjan, 28-03-2020 (AfrikMonde.com) Trois milliards de dollars, c’est le montant levé par la Banque africaine de développement (Bad) pour lutter contre la propagation de la maladie à coronavirus en Afrique. La maladie à coronavirus continue de gagner  en effet, du terrain dans la quasi-totalité des pays du monde entier.

De l’Asie à l’Amérique en passant par l’Europe, plus de 180 pays sont atteints par cette pneumonie virale apparue en Chine. Cette pandémie qui compte à ce jour, 605.010 cas d’infection, dont 27.982 décès dans le monde est loin d’épargner les pays africains, qui pourraient,  selon l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (Oms) devenir le prochain foyer de développement du coronavirus.

C’est donc à juste titre que la Banque Africaine de développement (BAD) a décidé de lever  un montant « exceptionnel » de 3 milliards de dollars soutenir les pays africains. En effet, cette levée de fonds est prévue pour se dérouler sur une période de trois ans.
