Côte d’Ivoire : la Fondation Awi de Touba donne le sourire aux mamans et aux tout-petits

Touba ,21-12-2019 (AfrikMonde.com) Faire du social et venir au secours des plus vulnérables. C’est l’objectif que s’est fixé Bakayoko Mariama Diarra, secrétaire générale de la Fondation African women Initiatives (Awi). En effet, à la veille de chaque nouvel an, elle apporte de l’aide aux femmes nouvellement mères et aux tout-petits.

Ainsi le jeudi 19 décembre dernier à Touba, une délégation de la fondation a rendu visite aux patientes de la maternité du centre de santé urbain intégré de Touba où, elle a offert des présents à chacune des 11 nouvelles mamans. Ces dons composés de couvertures, de couches jetables et divers produits cosmétiques ont été remis aux différentes femmes. Les bénéficiaires, ont salué cet acte de générosité. Les agents de santé ne sont pas restés en marge de cet élan de générosité ; ils ont à leur tour, reçu des kits alimentaires. Le centre de santé a été doté en six cartons de produits d’entretien (savon liquide, savon en poudre, de l’eau de javel) en plus d’une douzaine de cartons de gants pour soins.

Docteur Dopré Diabaté, médecin chef du centre de santé urbain intégré, a exprimé sa gratitude à Mariam Fadiga Fofana, présidente fondatrice d’Awi pour sa constante en faveur des couches vulnérables. Comme doléances le responsable du centre de santé a plaidé pour la construction d’une clôture, la dotation du centre de santé en ambulance, le reprofilage de la voie d’accès.

Après le centre de santé, les enfants du groupe scolaire El Hadj Nadiani Mory Fadiga ont reçu la Fondation Awi. Là les tout-petits de la maternelle, ont été comblés ont reçu des cadeaux. Leurs enseignantes, ont également reçu des pagnes en guise de présents. Des poèmes, des concours « Bagnon » et miss, ont meublé cette cérémonie.
